Autumn colours in New England

Fall Colors, Maine

Road trips in America is always exciting and this time chasing the fall foliage in New England was our new chosen adventure. The trip was scheduled in October when the fall colours are at its peak.

The plan was to drive from Long Island to Acadia National Park with an overnight stop at Providence. We started on a Friday evening as soon as my sister got back from work and drove in one straight shot to Providence and the next morning headed straight to Acadia National Park.

Fall in all it’s glory, Maine

The area was full of spectacular displays of fall leaf colours. The frequent colours seen were red, yellow, green, orange and even purple. We went on a biplane ride to fully appreciate the colourful glory of the area. It was a fun ride and I highly recommend this if you want to enjoy spectacular views of the fall foliage.

Incredible natural landscape in Maine

The brilliant colours in New England was mind blowing for a first timer like myself. In the UK the autumn colours are short-lived and experiencing America’s Autumn colours was an interesting experience. After a memorable four days stay in New England, I returned to NYC with loads of pictures and wonderful memories of the beautiful fall colours.
